I have actually decided (quite bravely, in my opinion) to make an attempt at reducing the insanity in my life (which initially came out as inanity *giggle*)

This does mean that I have basically totally fucked over any chance of having private health insurance if I ever find the need of it again, but needs must. I am quite sure that family history is bound to eventually become a factor in health insurance in the primitive country, so I suppose that one could say I am ahead of the curve.

Three cheers for pharmacopia!

Having a day off after going on night shift is strange. I woke up in the afternoon, and got down to the cafe with wireless internet just before the dinner crowd. Whilst they all have wine and beer to drink, I desperately imbibe caffeine in hopes of actually waking up. They chatter by candle light with live music in the background; I have troubles with the strangely flickering light.

Life is bizarre.

You know what's insane?

How much I want to slaughter my landlord.

After getting back from spending entirely too long at the doctor's, I had the joy of finding the notice of our water being turned off because the account was delinquent almost $600.

And to top things off I am still leaching off of the neighbour's wireless because our internet isn't working.

You're Prufrock and Other Observations!

by T.S. Eliot

Though you are very short and often overshadowed, your voice is poetic
and lyrical. Dark and brooding, you see the world as a hopeless effort of people trying
to impress other people. Though you make reference to almost everything, you've really
heard enough about Michelangelo. You measure out your life with coffee spoons.

So, which bothers you more - newly-discovered super!Harry who whines about not wanting to be more of a freak, "I just want to be Harry!" or super!Harry who immediately goes off to buy an entirely new wardrobe which is described in excruciating detail?

Of course, there are also the fics which involve both.

So, speaking of insanity.....I am not quite sure how I am going to finish up the 'who-knows-how-long' internship when I am just a bit frightened/pissed at my boss. It took him over a week to address the mistake that I made (i.e. following unclear directions by making a reasonable assumption based upon previous experience). And, of course he has to remind me of my mother, which rather throws me into an incapable, speechless tizzy so that I was completely unable to defend or explain my actions.

So. I am a bit worried that I will spend the rest of my time at this gods-forsaken place worried that he will decide that because of that I am completely expendable and boot me out. And because honestly, this is the first time that I have ever run across this sort of problem before, I have no idea whether my fears are unfounded or not.

Argh.
